How KINATURE studies functions associated with experience

An experimental investigation of memory, recurrence, and self-modeling, without claiming demonstrated artificial consciousness.

01 / EXPLANATION

Observable functions

KINATURE investigates functional components that can be described and tested, such as memory, recurrence, and self-modeling. The operational question is what changes in behavior when each component is reconstructed, altered, or removed under controlled conditions.

02 / EXPLANATION

Reconstruction and ablation

The team compares a reference system with variants that differ in one defined function. This ablation can reveal dependencies between components and effects on observed tasks. It measures functional differences within the experiment, not subjective experience.

03 / EXPLANATION

What remains unknown

Convincing behavior, functional memory, or self-reports do not prove that a system has conscious experience. This research remains experimental. Deep Psyche Harness, or DPH, is its research architecture and is distinct from DeepSeek Harness, or DSH.
